2 Weeks (a day late!)

Kaylee is 2 weeks old!

Sometimes it feels like she couldn't already be 2 weeks old, and other times it seems like she has always been a part of our family! She is such a good baby...she hardly ever cries! I can't believe how much Kaylee has already changed, she still has a different look from the rest of our kids, I'm anxious to see what she will look like in a few more weeks. She has the funniest facial expressions and scowls while she's sleeping.

Lucie ADORES her, I have to watch and make sure Lucie isn't loving her too much! Logan could hold her all day, the first thing he asks when he wakes up in the morning is "Can I hold Kaylee before I go to school?". Kody has not been interested in her at all until the past 2 days, I'm glad he has started to acknowledge she's here...I was starting to worry! Kody has been overly protective of Lucie, it's been pretty cute.

Star of the Week

Logan came home from school VERY excited on Friday! He was chosen to be his class's "Star of the Week". He brought home a poster that he decorated all about himself. His teacher will hang it up in their classroom for the whole week and on Friday he will get to bring in something for "show and tell". He has been waiting all year to be chosen! He was so excited to go to school this morning!

All weekend he kept collecting things for his poster, like Go Gurt wrappers "Because they're my favorite snack" and pictures of Jeeps cut out of Grandpa's Jeep magazines because "I love my Grandpa's Jeep!". I had a hard time convincing him that he couldn't put EVERYTHING on his poster, just a few special things!

Obessed? Not Kody...

Remember when I talk about Kody's Transformer obsession in the last post? Well, this is what I found a few nights ago when I went to check on him before I went to bed...

I found the Transformers hidden under the blankets...I was tempted to move them, I was worried it would wake him up if he rolled over onto them, but I didn't...it was a good thing too, the next morning Kody woke up very excited and told me "My Transformers stayed with me the whole night and didn't transform once...that would have woken me up!" Kids are too funny!

Lucie's Big Girl Bed

Jared found a toddler bed that had fallen off of some one's truck on the freeway. He brought it home to fix it. I was a little worried about how it would turn out. It looks great and the kids were all so excited that they got to help "make" Lucie's bed!

My grandma also came down a few weeks ago and helped us make a quilt for Lucie's bed that would match the crib bedding...it turned out so cute, and you can't even tell that it wasn't bought with the rest of the bedding! Lucie sat right next to my grandma while she sewed and kept telling her "Thank you Grandma, thank you! A blanket for Lucie's bed!" I wish I would have taken pictures of Lucie & my grandma sitting there next to each other...it was too cute!

She LOVES her bed and will now go to bed in "Wucie's Big Girl Bed" by herself! I have found her looking at stories and holding her babies on her bed!
